Ralph L. Walter
Ralph L. Walter, 85, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, in Portland, OR. He was born April 26, 1932 in Seattle, WA, to Wesley and Leota Walter. He married Marion L. Davis on May 14, 1953. His death came a month before their 65th wedding anniversary.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Wilford Walter; and a great-granddaughter, Lily Stevens. He is survived by his wife, Marion of Brush Prairie, WA; four children: Michele Crowell of Beaverton, OR; Marsha Edwards of Vancouver, WA; Darrell Walter of Forest Grove, OR; and Kevin Walter of Oregon City, OR; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; his sister Edith Saunders of Kent, WA, and his brother George Walter of Calmar, Alberta, Canada.
Ralph was one of the first employees of the John Fluke Corporation in Everett, WA (1953-56), worked for Tektronix from 1956-1978, and owned his own printing business, M & R Printing in Beaverton (1967- 1989), and typesetting business, The Type Place (1988- 2013).
A Celebration of Life will be held May 12, 2018, 11 a.m., at the Beaverton Church of the Nazarene, 12555 SW 22nd St., Beaverton, OR.
