James Bennett Arvidson
Jim was born January 18,
1943 in McMinnville Oregon and was the second of four boys to Lloyd and Virginia Arvidson. He was raised in Gresham
Oregon and graduated from
Centennial High School in
1961. He was drafted into the
Army and served in Vietnam
in the First Cavalry Division.
After being discharged from
the Army Jim went to work
for Harold Kelly Appliances and later went to work
Bernard Food Industries where he was a territory
salesman for 46 years.
Jim was an extraordinary athlete not only in
high school but later in life as an avid golfer and a
championship dart player. Jim also loved cars and was
a collector of several classic cars.
Jim is survived by his wife Claudia of 37 years,
daughter Audrey Quinn, stepson Paul Hermanson,
brothers Tom of Mill Valley California, Peter (Margie)
of Portland, Joe (Kay) of Salem, granddaughters Kaili
and Jamie and three great grandchildren.
Anyone who met Jim Arvidson soon realized that
he was a kind and loving individual who was always in
a good mood. We will forever miss Jim as a husband, a
dad, a brother and as a friend.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
