artist, he'll be remembered

for his quick wit, crazy-but-true

stories of childhood in Chicago,

funny colloquialisms, and frustrating


Born in Milwaukee, WI, he

graduated from Sullivan High

School in Chicago, then enlisted

in the U.S. Navy in 1948. Afterward,

Jim attended Chicago Art College then relocated

to the Bay Area working for Pacific Telephone and

raised four children with former wife, Janet Dunlap.

A marketing manager, Jim retired from AT&T in

1987 living in Oregon, Hawaii, and Arizona with his

wife of 30 years, Susan. Preceded in death by siblings

Patricia LeSanche and Thomas Dunlap, he is survived

by wife Susan, Kim Sundling, Lisa Loebs, Scott and

Michael Dunlap, Michelle Clemente, Phillips Claud,

ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several

beloved nieces and nephews.
