April 6, 1923 to May 23, 2018: Florence impacted many as a Girl Scout executive, YMCA program director, and county probation officer.

Florence Marie Anderson JensenFlorence Marie Jensen (neé Anderson) of Newberg, Oregon, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 23, 2018. She was 95. Born in Warren, Oregon, on April 6, 1923, she spent most of her life in the Willamette Valley and Santa Barbara, California. She was a graduate of the University of Oregon, class of 1943.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Codding Jensen, who passed in 2011, after 68 years of marriage , and her brother Herbert Anderson, of Dayton.

She leaves behind three children, Joanne, Janet and Rodney, their spouses Roy Flint, Robert Irish and Audrey Peterson Jensen (whom Florence lovingly regarded as three more of her children), seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Florence impacted many in her professional career, as a Girl Scout executive, YMCA program director, and county probation officer. She loved life, enjoying her family, meeting people, learning new things, golf, genealogy and daily exercise.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on June 22, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church in Newberg.
