Donna was born in Pennsylvania to Joe and Sara Pascarella. She graduated from Union High School and Robert Morris Jr College studying secretarial administration. Donna's first job was in Washington DC in the Pentagon, then she went on to San Francisco to work for Social Security. She moved to Honolulu, Hawaii working for ONI at Pearl Harbor.
While in Hawaii, she met the love of her life Coy who was a submariner. They married at the Pearl Harbor Naval Chapel and were transferred to New London, Connecticut; where Coy was stationed at the Nuclear Power Base and Donna worked for Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut. Daughter Koie was born 3 years later, then Coy left the Navy and they made their home in Portland, Oregon. Son Doug was born 2 years later. Donna then went to work for MESD as a Special Educational Assistant and worked there for 23 years.
Donna loved traveling with Coy in their motorhome; she loved antiquing, reading, church activities and spending time at their beach house in Manzanita.
She is survived by daughter Koie Patrick (Todd); and son Doug; sister Sunny and her brothers Joe and Sam.
Donna had many friends who helped her through her illness, all of whom she loved very dearly.
A service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at St. Henry Catholic Church, 346 NW 1st St, Gresham, OR 97030. Visitation at 10am, service at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donation to EastCo Diversified Services where son Doug is in a sheltered workshop and a residential facility.
