Jim Nutt, 88, passed away July 11, 2019 at his home in Gladstone Oregon with his wife Barbara by his side. Jim was born June 23,1931 in Wilderville Oregon, the 3rd of 7 children. He graduated from Oregon City High School.
Jim served as a supply clerk in Germany during the Korean War. In 1951 he began a career of over 40 years working at Crown Zellerbach paper mill in West Linn Oregon. He was a master paper maker and was asked to return three times as a consultant after retiring in 1989.
Jim was a hard worker and always busy, he was an active member of the Elks Lodge, he regularly bowled, volunteered to serve the community, and served breakfast at the Elks for decades. Jim was an excellent golfer to the end, he loved it and golfed any chance he got. He grew the first and best tomatoes every summer! Jim was a quiet private man with a huge heart and didn't like to be the center of attention, he was loved very much and will be greatly missed.
Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; daughters, Diana and Marilyn; sons Don and Greg. grandchildren, Cheri, Ryan, Brandon, Zach, Jared, Nathan, Jimmy, Curtis, Kristina, and Heidi; 12 greatgrandchildren & four great-great; sister, Thelma; brother, Hank; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister Vera, brothers Glen, Kenny and Elmer; sons Doug and Steve; grandsons Chris and Matthew.
Jim was interred at Willamette National Cemetery. Memorials are private for his family.
