Sharon Lee (Rahn) Henry 77, of Canby, Ore. passed away Sunday, Aug.4, 2019. She was born March 21, 1942 in Elgin, Ill.
Following graduation in 1960 from Canby High School, Sharon worked as a physician's assistant for Dr. Edmund E. Davies in Canby until 1967 when her second child was born and she became a stay at home Mom. That is when she enjoyed getting involved in the community and her children's activities. She was a Den Leader for Pack 505, an assistant for Sugar and Spice Baton Corp., Secretary for Canby Kids, Inc. and office person for the Canby Historical Society Depot Museum.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert H. Henry; son, Edward (Mindy) Henry; brother, Thomas Rahn; sister, Judy Rahn (Bill) Lagoni; grandsons, Bradley (Stefani) Dunn, Joshua (Melissa) Dunn, and Joseph Henry; and three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Harriet Rahn, and daughter, Kimberly Dunn.
Bob and Sharon both loved traveling in their motor home and after more than 26 trips around the United States boasted they "wore out two motorhomes". Sharon will always be remembered for her kindness and of course her laugh. Before you even saw her, you could tell she was present by her laugh.
A celebration of life will be an open house on Sunday, Sept.8th from 1-5pm at the Henry home (107 NW 10th Ave. Canby, OR). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sharon's name to the Canby Historical Society.
