August 5, 1998 to November 9, 2019,
Cody Raymond Stallsworth passed away November 9th, 2019, at the tender age of 21. He was born August 5, 1998 in Clackamas County, Oregon and grew up in Troutdale. He graduated from Reynolds High School in 2016 and was currently attending Linn Benton Community College in Corvallis. He was working for Columbia Distributors.
Cody loved sports, dancing, rapping, and making everyone laugh. He was a Reynolds Little League baseball state champion, played Varsity baseball, football and loved all sports. In middle school he had a dance crew called RSJ, and later turned to making music.
Cody wasn't your average guy, he was a social butterfly, and without a doubt one of the funniest people. No matter what, Cody would make you laugh and was always making jokes or performing a joke. Even with all his charisma, most people will remember Cody for having the biggest heart. When you needed him, he wouldn't hesitate to lend a hand to help, but what was special is even if you didn't ask for him, he would just be there. He had so many lifelong friends because he would make sure not to lose touch with the people he held close to his heart. Cody may have had one biological family, but really, he had many parents, brothers and sisters because he touched so many people's hearts. He cared and loved every one of them in his own special way.
Cody will be laid to rest at Douglas Cemetery in Troutdale, Oregon. If you just look, his name is memorialized all around Troutdale, OR. His name is on the City of Troutdale Arch Plaque as "Cody S", etched in a brick at Walt Morey Middle School, in the Troutdale Elementary School year book within the City of Troutdale Time capsule (to be opened in the year 2107), on a wood fish plaque in the Sam Cox building at Glen Otto Park, and etched in his home driveway.
Cody is survived by his father Raymond Lee Stallsworth, mother Bridget Lucia Moriarty, step father Joshua Moriarty, sister Kyra Moriarty, and a dozen other families that considered him one of their own.
Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
