Shirley Lambeth, Centenarian
October 13, 1919 to December 24, 2019
Just over 100 years ago in Billings, Montana, Shirley was born to Adam and Maude. She had a very active and full life, with many stories about growing up and her fun adventures. In her lifetime she had so many different experiences including seeing three wars, Prohibition, the Great Depression, civil rights, the first man in space, computers and many other technologies.
She was always excited to see new things. As a world traveler, she loved her adventures.
She was active in the community and started the East County campfire girls and was instrumental in starting the Nadaka Day Camp. She enjoyed the Gresham Elks and camping with the Elks-on-Wheels as well as her sorority Deta Zeka. She was a great cook and loved animals, flowers, traveling, and fishing. She was an avid reader of books about positive thinking, and a staunch believer of angels. One of her last adventures was celebrating her 100th birthday with many family and friends
She was married to Ray Lambeth for 60 years. They had a successful printing business together for 40 years. Survivors include Sharon Bird (Jim), Carol Silke (Jim), Donna Cage (John), JoAnne McManus (Kenn), Claudia Wilson (Fred), 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 8 greatgreat grandchildren.
Memorial service will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
