Kenneth Joseph Bush
Kenneth Joseph Bush, 94, of Lake Oswego, Oregon, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020. Kenneth was born February 23, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. At eighteen he was selected for the Naval Air Corps and then went on to graduate from the University of Michigan in Engineering. He believed in the saying, "Go west, young man," and moved to Corvallis, Oregon where he purchased a company, Moore Rane Manufacturing, which was expanded and renamed Moore Clear Co., now located in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He and his wife, Joan, moved from Corvallis to Lake Oswego in 1969 and resided there the rest of their lives.
Ken's vocation and avocation were always one and the same: business. Get him talking about business and he was the Energizer Bunny, never quitting. He could talk for hours. He also possessed a generous nature and a love for the antics of children. One of his grandchildren called him "The best grandfather you could hope to have", a sentiment echoed by the rest of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his three children, Kenneth Linn Bush, Nancy Bush O'Callaghan and Ward Bush; his stepson, Joe Lewis; his first wife, Dona Bush Gaver; and his four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his only brother, Henry Bush, and his wife of forty years, Joan Bush.
He will be missed.
