Genevieve E. Ayles
Genevieve was born in Casper Wyoming, the second of 4 children. She was raised as a homesteader, involving lots of
walking, horseback riding and sheep herding. She
attended school in a one room schoolhouse.
Genevieve married Elmer Ayles in 1941. They
had 2 children, Terry and Carol. The Ayles family
moved from Wyoming to Oregon in 1953, and
initially lived in Corbett and Bridal Veil, then in 1983
Genevieve moved to Troutdale. She held periodic
various jobs, and was an excellent cook, seamstress,
and gardener. Family includes grandson Loran, and
four great grandchildren.
Terry passed in 2009; Elmer passed in 1982.
Burial is scheduled for October 10, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
at Douglass Cemetery in Troutdale. Immediately
after, a memorial service will be held at Eastmont
Bible Church in Boring, Oregon.
