Boyd Franklin Munson
At 10:30 a.m. Boyd Franklin Munson died
peacefully at Arcadia Senior Living with wife,
Margaret (Fischer) by his side. Previously, Boyd was
married to Vivian Rose (Balsiger) until her passing
due to complications from MS. Boyd was born in
Walla Walla, Wash., the youngest of Gus and Edith
Munson's four sons.
He grew up in Clarkston, Wash., and after high
school enlisted in the Army Air Forces at McChord
Airfield. He was stationed in Germany (1945-1947)
and upon his return attended the University of
Washington. There he met Vivian to whom he was
dearly married for 49 years. His career spanned retail
clothing, real estate/ land development and securities
and investments until retirement in 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his three
adoring children, Lynda Momberg, Kathy Munson,
Dr. Boyd and Krista Munson and their sons, Bryce
and Chace. He was preceded in death by his beloved
first wife, Vivian; his three brothers, Bill, Chet and
Louis; and his son-in-law, Keith Momberg.
