August 1932 - September 2020 - Barbara was born to Robert McRae Douglas and Mildred Grissom Douglas in Seattle, Washington.

As a child, she lived in Ketchikan, Alaska, Spokane, and eventually moved to Piedmont, California. She attended Queen Anne High School in Seattle and graduated from Piedmont High School in 1950. Barbara attended University of California Berkeley, majored in fine arts, and was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She graduated in 1954 and was lifetime fan of the California Golden Bears.

After graduating from college, Barbara worked as a receptionist for Henry Kaiser and an assistant to Mr. Kaiser's personal secretary. In 1961, she married Richard Drake Lamberton. While living in San Francisco, they had two children: Elizabeth and Richard. They raised their children in Walla Walla, Portland, Hinsdale IL, and finally settled in Lake Oswego.

Living in Lake Oswego for 40 years, Barbara served as president of the Oswego Garden Club, was active in the Lakewood Center for the Arts, and attended Valley Community Presbyterian Church. Her passions included water aerobics, gardening, painting, needlepoint, and antiques. Barbara also loved watching college and professional sports, especially football, baseball, and golf.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard D. Lamberton; her daughter, Elizabeth Gately; and her grandson, Jefferson Gately; her son, Richard H. Lamberton II (Sharon Gueck); and her granddaughter, Clare Lamberton.
