Doris Virginia Greig
Doris Virginia Greig passed away of natural causes on December 13, 2020 at the age of 98.
She was born Doris Virginia Pederson February 12, 1922 in Portland, Oregon to Harry V. and Ora Pederson Doris spent most of her youth in Molalla, Oregon but moved with her family to Portland where she graduated from Roosevelt High School. She was a member of the school's women's basketball team and her continued love for sports is known by everyone close to her and has made her an uber-Blazer fan as well as a cheerleader for both Oregon State and the University of Oregon teams.
After graduation Doris moved back with her family to Molalla where she took a job as a clerk with the administrative staff of Molalla High. She met her husband-to-be, Malcolm V. Greig, who was working in the area as an accountant for Crown Zellerbach. Doris and Mal were married at the Molalla Christian Church July 26, 1958 and though they moved several times during their life together they eventually returned to Molalla where they lived until Mal's death in 2015. They spent many of their retired years vacationing together across the U.S. and Canada, the ultimate car-road trippers.
Doris is predeceased by her parents and only brother, Jack, and is survived by Jack's daughters, Susan Jackson and Nancy Bush, and by her husband's brother, Earle Greig, and his family.
She will be interred in Adams Cemetery in Molalla, next to her beloved husband's remains. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
