Janice K Morris
Our beautiful mother passed away surrounded by family and friends at her home in Boring, Oregon on October 22, 2020 at the age of 68.
Janice was born on May 21, 1952 in Oregon City, Ore. to Olaf & Ethel Rosebrook. She was the baby amongst her siblings Gary, Joyce, and Glenn. Jan graduated from Madison High School in 1970. She married her high school She married her high school sweetheart Patrick Morris in 1971 in Portland, Oregon and together Jan and Patrick had 4 children: Trisha, Traci, EJ (deceased) and Kelli.
Jan took great pride in her job at The City of Gresham where she was a beloved member of their utility department for 20 years. Jan's commitment to her position, her positive and her sincere customer service was a huge asset to the City and did not go unnoticed. Although retired only 2 years, there was no shortage of her energy and she happily volunteered for the Salvation Army. Jan enjoyed trips to the Oregon Coast with her daughters and best friend Katie Rhyne where they would play the machines, laugh, and enjoy the beach.
Jan is survived by her daughters: Trisha Pickles (Tim), Traci Morris and Kelli Boyles (Jeff) her beloved grandchildren: Devin & Brenden Pickles, Ryane & Jace Boyles. Her siblings Gary Rosebrook (Ginger), Joyce Young and Glenn Rosebrook (Patricia). She is predeceased by her parents, Ethel & Olaf Rosebrook, her son EJ Morris.
To say that Jan will be missed is an enormous understatement. Her smile, positive outlook on life and quick wit will live on through her loved ones and the numerous "Jan-isms"will be a living legacy for her family and friends.
A Celebration of Jan's life is being planned. We will give more information in the paper April 4th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude, The Oregon Humane Society or The Salvation Army.
