July 28, 1923 - March 18, 2021 - Louise Biggi Pinion passed away on March 18, 2021 after a full, active life of 97 years.

Her parents were Louis and Rose Biggi; her brothers were John (deceased) and Geno Biggi. She attended Beaverton High School.

Louise was an active athlete all her life. A prize-winning runner as a child, great bowler as an adult, and a champion golfer most of her life. Louise made four holes-in-one and held the record for the most holes-in-one made by women golfers in Oregon. She played at many great courses including Pebble Beach and St. Andrews in Scotland. She was a life-member of Rock Creek Country Club where she served as the president of the women's golfing association, as well as a member of Bermuda Dunes in Palm Desert, California, where she maintained a winter home.

Louise was named for her great-grandmother Luisa Balbi, a member of the noble Balbi family of Genoa, Italy. She was a member of the historic Merlo and Biggi families of Beaverton. Her grandmother Annunziata Merlo operated the Commercial Hotel in Beaverton for several decades. Her mother Rose Biggi founded the almost century-old food products company Beaverton Foods which now sells products in all 50 states and twelve foreign countries. Louise worked closely in the company with her mother and brother Geno.

In her long life, Louise survived her two husbands, George Carroll and Charles Pinion. She is survived by her daughter Gale Nielsen (husband Denny) of Battle Ground, Washington; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and three step-children. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, five first cousins, and many relatives in Oregon, Washington, California and Italy.

Louise was a member of St. Cecilia's Parish and St. Pius X parish. Her funeral mass was held at St. Pius Catholic Church in Portland, OR on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment was held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
