David Gordon Reasoner
David Gordon Reasoner died at his residence in Molalla, Oregon on April 1st, 2021. Dave was born on March 9, 1956 in Concord, New Hampshire. He called Henniker, New Hampshire home where he grew up and became a logger and then a log truck driver. He moved to Molalla Oregon in 1991 because he heard Oregon had bigger trees. Eventually he bought his own truck and started hauling rock. He grew roots in Molalla and became well known and liked by the locals as The Rock Guy or David Reasoner Trucking.
Those who knew Dave knew the passion he had for muscle cars with big engines and that he was a Beatles Fanatic. He was a big guy with a soft heart and loved pets and dogs especially his dog Riley. His passion for muscle cars began when he was 14 and living in Henniker. He had a newspaper route and saved to buy himself a muscle car body without an engine. He later found an engine and had a grand time tearing up the gravel in the old rock pit across from his home. He also participated in mud pulls in the Henniker area and won a few trophies. Over the decades Dave restored countless cars and trucks. He would even take a few to the Woodburn drag strip and race. He recently purchased a Gold 1967 Chevelle Super Sport that was just like his mom's growing up. This was a hobby and a skill that he passed along to his two step sons Kevin and Nick.
In 1994 Dave's family grew. He married and became step dad to Kevin Ennis and Nick Ennis. Kevin is married to Chanda Ennis and together they have four children who call Dave Grandpa. Christopher Tiller, Brenden Ennis, Jadia Ennis and Azalinn Ennis. Dave cherished relationships and after the divorce he made certain to keep close connections with his step-sons and grandchildren. In 2014 Dave began a friendship with Linda Tiller. Their companionship helped our families become closer and helped Dave's family grow including Linda's son Timothy Tiller, daughter and son-in- law Michelle and Kirk Bearden and her grandsons Hayden and Rudy Bearden. In recent years he also reconnected with his 3 daughters and 4 grand daughters. Oldest daughter Devon Powers, her fiance Larry Santos, and granddaughters Allison and Amelia from South Hadley MA. Michelle Neil From Franklin NH, and his youngest daughter Randi. He is preceded in death by his father Gordon Reasoner, Mother Alice Reasoner and his sister Helen Tenney. He will be missed by his closest friends New England Tom, Billy Russel, Saint, George, Troy, Scotty, Marvin, Rob and Roger Keys, Gale Erickson among so many others.
