Lyle Leslie Myers passed away April 10, 2022, from frontal temporal dementia at his home in Meridian, Idaho. He was raised on a farm in Donald, Oregon. Lyle graduated from Oregon State University in 1960 with a B.S. degree in Animal Husbandry. In 1962 he graduated from Montana State University with a Master's degree in Animal Science. In 1966 he earned a Ph. D. in Agricultural Biochemistry from Purdue University.
Lyle spent 26 years as a Professor at the Veterinary Research Laboratory at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, where he was a research scientist. He was inducted into the Montana Inventors Hall of Fame in 1989.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter Diane Myers and husband Kevin; daughter Carolyn Schultz and husband Tom, and grandchildren Michael, Maggie, and Theo; and daughter Linda.
