April 19, 1939 - July 17, 2021. Phoebe 'Louise' Popp, 81, of Aloha, died Saturday, July 17, 2021 of Parkinson's Disease.

Phoebe Louise Popp

Phoebe "Louise" Keiger was born in Fresno, CA, the youngest of five and named after her grandmother. As a child, she loved playing handball and visiting Yosemite National Park. Louise graduated from high school, attended college and earned a beautician's license.

Louise and her husband Ralph Albert Popp had two daughters, Diana and Shari. The family moved to Aloha, Oregon in 1968, where Louise lived for over 50 years. She helped at her daughters' grade school and made sure they got swimming, ice skating, arts and crafts and piano lessons. She also worked as a beautician, secretary, senior activities director and Hallmark manager.

Louise loved her daughters and extended family, and she had a special bond with her granddaughter, Deidre Louise. She made blackberry pies, strawberry shortcakes and chocolate goofy cakes, and she had fun making cards for birthdays and anniversaries. Louise was always game for an adventure with her family or her friend Bernadine, and she explored the West in an RV with her friend Don. She recorded everyday happenings and special adventures in illustrated journals. Louise was an avid gardener and loved growing flowers, pruning trees and working in her big backyard, sometimes from dawn to dusk. She especially enjoyed yellow flowers and fragrant Cecile Brunner roses.

Louise passed away at the age of 82 from Parkinson's. Louise is survived by daughters, Diana and Shari; sons-in-law, David and Greg; granddaughter, Deidre and partner Tyler; eldest brother, Richard and sister-in-law Patricia and her nieces and nephews.
