Samantha Karen Rigney Fonda Fox
Sammy joined her dear husband in everlasting life on May 18th in peace with her family by her side. Sammy was ready and excited to start her new journey beyond this world.
Karen was born in 1956 in Rantoul, IL. Childhood was very mobile for Karen being part of a military family. She was able to experience different European countries during her childhood.
Karen returned to Nyssa, OR where she graduated high school a year early and married Russell Beutler. Karen and Russ traveled for many years playing in the Brandywine band. After the band dispersed they moved back to Nyssa where she became a mother to her precious rosebud Brooklyn.
As the years proceeded and following her mother's death in 1990, Karen found herself interested in becoming a funeral director. Following the dissolution of her marriage, she moved to Troutdale, OR. She graduated from Mt. Hood C.C. mortuary school in 1993 and proceeded to work at various funeral homes in the Portland Metropolitan area until her back injury in 1999. Samantha enjoyed spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren Callie, Alexis, and Gabrael Albrechtson. She loved being part of their lives as they were her most precious jewels.
In May of 2000, Samantha met the love of her life George Fox. They became inseparable. She was blessed with a daughter Jessica and son Jeff with many more amazing grandchildren. She always wanted many children and grandchildren. These years were some of her most cherished memories. After their mini excursions, they decided to hang their RV hats and purchase their dream home on 5 acres in Goldendale WA, which was the most perfect place on earth for them to spend their remaining years together.
She leaves behind her father, Stephen (Aleta) Fonda; brother, Tony (Colleen) Rigney; sister, Kristine (Tom) Murders; daughter, Brooklyn (Roger) Myers; daughter, Jessica (Ernest) Frederick; son, Jeff (Lindee) Fox; God-son, Tobias Witherspoon; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many more family and friends.
