John Jaeger, age 80, of Milwaukie, died peacefully at home June 8, 2021. John was born in Portland to John and Wilda Jaeger.
He attended Lake Grove Elementary and Lake Oswego High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University. He and his wife Sherien were to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary next month.
John was a founding member of the Columbia River Early Ford V8 club and passionate about his 1937 Ford. He served as club historian and as associate editor of the club magazine for many years, and authored numerous articles. John was actively involved in his church, and regularly volunteered with the Hope Food Pantry in Oregon City. He loved traveling, watching movies, photography, reading the Oregonian, and corresponding with friends and family.
John is survived by his wife, Sherien; two children and their spouses, Melinda and Kaide, Paul and Michelle; three grandchildren Simon, Tobias, and Elliott; and brother Charles.
A memorial service will be held.
