Russell K. Ahsing, 65, of Oregon City, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022.

Russell was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, June 15, 1956. He was the youngest son of Joseph and Ruth Ahsing.

After his family moved from Honolulu to Oregon in 1963, Russ grew up on Gray St. in Portland, Ore., and graduated in 1975 from Clackamas High School. After graduation, Russ worked in the Milwaukie area and married Tammy Bishop in 1985. They and their two sons moved to Oregon City in 1990 where he lived until he passed away. Russ took immense pride in helping to raise his sons Kyle (Brenna) and Kasey (Yazzmin). Russ began his career at Precision Body & Paint of Beaverton/ Gresham in May 2011 where he worked as Parts Manager.

Russ enjoyed football, basketball, fishing, and NASCAR. Russ was the Assistant Trainer for the Semi Pro Portland Steelhead Football Team when they took the NW Football Championship in 1983. You could always find Russ at the grill during a family and friends BBQ. He especially loved to help family and friends when it was time to cook a "pig" in the ground. He had a big heart and so loved being with his family and friends.

Russ, "Uncle Russ", will be greatly missed, and leaves behind his wife Tammy, son Kyle (Brenna), son Kasey (Yazzmin), grandson's Kaleo, Makoa, Keawe and sister Sarah Ann Lycett, brother Joseph Ahsing (Becky), nephew's Kaimi Lycett and family, Kelii Lycett and family, niece Kehau Lewis and family along with numerous other family members on the mainland and in Hawaii and his work family at Precision Body & Paint of Gresham.

All friends of Russ are welcome to join his Ohana at a Memorial Service from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Pioneer Community Center in Oregon, City.
