SUBMITTED PHOTO - Carolyn 'Carrie' Becker TraumOn Feb. 17th, Carolyn "Carrie" Becker Traum left this earth to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was at home with family when she passed after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Heaven was graced to receive a bright and beautiful soul early that morning. Carrie attended Orient Grade School and graduated from Gresham High School in 1963. She loved cheerleading, and was on the respective school squads from 7th grade through her senior year at Gresham High. Carrie was raised on her parent's raspberry farm in Boring, Oregon where she was expected to and did the "chores" and jobs she was given by her German father and Swedish mother. In her family, children were not observers, but were active participants even though not always relishing the assigned task. Volunteerism was not an option. Carrie was a strong individual and was loved for her spirited personality and "sassy" behavior, but she was always respectful of others faith and opinions, even though not necessarily agreeing. She was an active member of the

Life Discovery Church and so enjoyed the Bible Study programs. She organized and chaired many functions and

dinners, plus hosted many luncheons and dinners at her home for members of the church, especially those whom

were widowed and alone, knowing the needs of these dear friends,SUBMITTED PHOTO - Carolyn 'Carrie' Becker Traum whom loved her. She had countless friends whom loved her and thought of her as a sister, mentor, and confident. She filled the hearts of many people with joy and laughter. Carrie loved to travel, whether it be northern Mexico, the U.S. east and west coast or the two trips to Europe with her parents. She always had the time of her life. And oh, how she loved to shop. She loved antiques and attending auctions and would bargain and negotiate with any soul that would attempt to best her in establishing value. They didn't have a chance. How truly blessed everyone felt by just sharing a little bit of her life. She will be missed more than anyone can imagine. And Carrie, be sure to give a big hug to mom and dad, Bill, Ginger, and Fred and Sylvia for us. Carrie was preceded in death by her parents. Eddie and Mildred Becker, sister Ginger Becker Stephens, and husband Bill Traum. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Ron) Pine, sons Clint (Joelle) Spencer, Brent (Laura) Bennett,

Eric (Laura) Everett, Evan (Lauri) Everett, brothers Ron (Cathy) Becker and Greg (Delores) Becker, and grand daughters Brittani Guerra, Carlysta Everett and grandsons Lee Bennett, Evan Everett Jr., Eric Everett Jr., Nikolas Parks, Chandler Parks, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. A celebration of Life service will be held later this year in Arizona.
