SUBMITTED PHOTO - Arlea Lippincott SternArlea Lippincott Stern, born in Boulder, CO on January 5, 1928. Her parents Paul and Martha owned a small farm on the Eastern Plains. These roots would shape the person Arlea would become. At College in Lincoln NE her smile and auburn hair caught the attention of fellow student Navy Veteran Al Stern. They were married in July 1947, had three children; Pam, Jack and Janna. Arlea became a Nurse, Al a Pastor who worked for the Seventh Day Adventist Church for over 35 years, living in 5 states. Retired in 1987, they chose to move to Estacada, OR where Arlea's brother Leo Lippincott and wife Shirley had established roots. Both became active in the community, Al with a column in the newspaper and Arlea as co-director of The Yellow House Community Center. Al passed in 2015. Arlea moved in 2016 and settled into her cozy apartment near her daughter in Sequim, WA. The cruel thief dementia had been trying to steal her mind when she left us peacefully February 16, 2020.
