Our loving son Ethan was born on August 10th 1998 in Portland, Oregon and the family moved to Troutdale, Oregon in 2006. He attended Boise-Eliot Elementary, Sweetbriar Elementary, Walt Morey Middle School & Reynolds High School. Ethan played organized baseball from 2004-2012, the majority of that with Reynolds Little League in East County. Just like his father, Ethan was a proud Teamster, working for UPS from the age of 18 until he unexpectedly passed away in his Troutdale home on July 19th, 2022. He loved driving his UPS package truck on the country routes of Corbett, Estacada, Sandy & Mt Hood. Ethan was outgoing and social, had a sense of adventure, and he made an incredible amount of friends in his short life, seeing many of them in the days before he passed. Ethan loved Star Wars, his 2020 WRX, and going shooting with his dad. He loved his dog, bonfires, his Ariat boots and the outdoors; with Angel's Rest, Crown Point, Rockaway Beach, the Sandy River and Long Beach being in his top 10 places to spend time with his friends. When the weather was nice and he got home early, he frequently used the grill to make dinner for his parents. Ethan will be forever missed and is survived by his parents Eric & Delia, his beloved grandparents Steve Loes and Linda Loes-Manning, his uncle Mark Loes, his godparents Miguel Artigue and Marylyn Parent plus great-aunts and uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to include here. He will also be incredibly missed by his UPS co-workers and Teamster family. Ethan was cremated on July 22nd, 2022 in a private ceremony attended by his parents at Holman's Funeral Service on SE Hawthorne Blvd in Portland, Oregon. A memorial service for extended family and friends will be announced at a later date. Please visit his memorial page at and leave a favorite memory, photo or video of Ethan to share with all who knew and loved him.
