Olaf I. Rove
Olaf was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a child he spent many summers at the family cabin on Pike Lake in Northern Wisconsin.
Olaf received his engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was always interested in cars. As a teenager, he nicknamed his first model-T, "Hoop Junior."
He was a member of Rose City Model- T club and the Horseless Carriage Club of Portland.
For many years Olaf was the QA Manager for Bingham Willamette. He went on to be an independent inspector and consultant for many companies across the US and Canada working into his early 80s.
Olaf is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda; daughters Jane (Sam) Whitehead; Susan (Jerry) Thompson; Peggy (Tim) Simmons; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to join and honor "Ole" on Sunday, April 14, from 1-4 at Multnomah Grange # 71, 30639 SE Bluff Rd. Gresham. OR. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital.
