MORE STORIES

November 15, 1938 to April 28, 2019. Betty Louise Ross was born to Harold and Mildred Ross in Chewelah, Washington.

Betty Louise Ross was born to Harold and Mildred Ross on November 15, 1938 in Chewelah, Washington. She had one brother, Jerry Ross. Betty graduated from Gresham High School in 1957 and married Lyman David Stanley on July 18, 1958. Lyman and Betty have two children, Jill and Ken; three Grandchildren Greg, Anthony and Kayla and six great Grandchildren Jace, Hailey, Nate, Eli, Ashton and Gabriel.

Betty was a very special and loving person. She was always the first to volunteer when help was needed at the church or at schools. She enjoyed working behind the scenes and was eager to provide meals to people in

need, teaching Sunday school, helping with Awana's, assisting elementary school teachers and many other activities.

Betty had many interests and enjoyed reading, crocheting, crafts, traveling, music, tea parties with her friends, camping in her motorhome, and serving her Lord and Savior. Betty worked as a receptionist for three doctors over her working career and even was a bluebird leader.

Betty lived life in the moment. She was a very happy woman who would about run off the road while driving to look at a flock of geese flying above, or point out a hill she loved and remark she would like a cabin or house right over there. There was not a flower she didn't stop to smell.

Betty loved being a mom and grandmother very much. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, aunt and friend.

She passed from this world and into her heavenly home on April 28, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She will be missed very much.COURTESY PHOTO - Betty Louise Stanley
