March 7, 1954 to May 24, 2020- Charles W. Klinger, 66 passed away peacefully on May 24, 2020 at 3:23 am, at his home in Damascus, OR surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was the third of five children of Blanche and Howard Klinger who were originally from Lynxville, Wisconsin but followed

their dream homesteading the last frontier in Alaska where Charles was born. Howard and Blanche Klinger became successful business owners of several small

businesses in Anchorage Alaska.

Charles and his family moved to Oregon in 1962.

Charles attended Fairview Elementary as a young boy and

graduated from Reynolds High School in 1972, followed

by college at Mt. Hood Community College. He worked

for Viking Window, Hal's Mobil and Space Age Fuel. But

he found his true nitch working in masonry for Ken Clow.

Ken Clow was a mason contractor who schooled him in

the masonry trade, that would soon be his life. He founded Chuck Klinger Masonry in 1979, which later evolved to Klinger Masonry Inc. (KMI)

Throughout Charles' life he shared his vast knowledge,

hard work ethics and values with his children and

employees. Eventually all of Charles' sons joined the

Klinger Masonry Inc. (KMI) team. Today Klinger Masonry Inc. (KMI) has completed over 1,000 commercial projects in the Pacific Northwest and has proven to be one of the top leaders in the masonry industry. Chucks projects will continue to remind us of him and what he stood for.

Charles enjoyed playing the guitar, harmonica, banjo,

basketball, golfing, traveling, casino trips, and most of all

spending time with family and friends. Charles always loved a good social gathering.

Charles is Proceeded in death by his father Howard

George Klinger, his mother Blanche Pernella Dumpprope,

and sister Rhonda Klinger. He is Survived by his children

Emily Klinger, Chaz Klinger, Keagan Klinger, Nick

Klinger, grandson Austin Jackson, his brothers George

Klinger (Paulette), Kaye Klinger, Dennis Klinger, his friend

and business partner Karen Pliska, his in-laws Hal and

Gloria Pliska, Jim and Linda Pliska, Christy Pliska, Juan

and Judy Ruiz, nieces and nephews; Lee Klinger, Ashley

Klinger, Jason Roberts, Kimberly Parkerson, Cassie Bow,

Trevor Bow, Amanda Pliska, Jenny Pliska, Brianna Ruiz,

Skylar Ruiz, and Mario Ruiz.
