Lillian R. Adams
Born on February 5th, 1924 to Henry Anderegg and
Anna Naegali, Lillian Rozann Adams was the youngest
of four children, with older siblings Lena, Tracy and Walter.
Lillian was taught the value of hard work by her Swiss
immigrant parents, who created Meadowland Dairy, which
provided dairy products to the greater Multnomah area. In 1948, Wayne D. Adams and Lillian R. Anderegg were married.
Lillian would always describe Wayne as the "love of her
life." Together, they ran the dairy after the passing of her
parents. Known for her incredible work ethic and drive,
Lillian had many pursuits. She and her husband ran the
dairy farm until Wayne's passing on November 10th,
1989. In addition to managing the farm, Lillian served as
a commissioner with the Oregon State Fair, from the years
1981-1989 and later volunteered in multiple capacities
for the Multnomah County Fair, from 1991-2016.
It was in her seventies that she decided she would
turn the farm into a manufactured home park
and start a new business, when most people are
retiring. Meadowcrest Farm Estates became her
crowning business achievement, a successful housing
development that she continued to run well into her 90's.
Lillian loved to work. Family always joked it was her
favorite hobby. She was also known for her hospitality;
always cooking and feeding all of her friends and family.
Lillian lived a life full of love and she will be greatly
