Janice Louise Ganger was born on January 4, 1952, the eldest daughter of Robert and Carolyn Ganger. She passed away peacefully on April 22, 2021 in Hillsboro, Oregon. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Janice's love and care for her family and friends was an inspiration and she loved bringing smiles to faces with her beautiful handmade gifts. Janice grew up on the family farm in Hillsboro and she enjoyed canning and freezing their garden produce. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and worked at the Hillsboro Pharmacy, Tektronix, Intel, and the Trojan Nuclear Power Plant. She was active in 4-H and was a member of the first three 4-H wagon trains. Janice compiled a cookbook of family and friends' favorite recipes that is treasured and used often. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, hardanger, knitting, sewing, doll collecting, reading and many crafts. Janice was a member of quilting and knitting groups at the Hillsboro Senior Center. In retirement she knitted and donated many hats for babies at Tuality Hospital, and she loved "driving her Miss Daisies"---giving her friends a ride to appointments or stores. Janice was preceded in death by her father, Robert; and her brother, Bob. She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Carolyn; her siblings, Bill (Loyce), Jim (Cathy), Susan, John (Debbie), sister-in-law, Jeanie (Rick); nieces and nephews, Christopher, Jerry (Molly), Brandon (Danelle), Madison, Katie (Nathan), Ben, DJ, Ryan, Nick, Joshua (Michelle), Stacie (Tom), Caleb (Sarah), Lisa and Katie; and many great nephews and nieces.
