Jerry L. Rowe, born in Gardner, Colorado, on Aug. 17, 1930, passed away April 16 , after a long illness, at his home with family by his side.
He was a man of many talents and possessed a creative mind. His life experiences included working cattle in Oregon and Idaho. Jerry also worked in home construction, and built a log home in Wheeler County, where he and his wife, Brenda, lived for many years.
He operated the Service Creek Trading Post in Wheeler County. Jerry was a journeyman machinist and was proud of his accomplishment of being the supervisor of machining the turbines of Grand Coulee Dam. Eleven years ago, they moved to Madras.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Brenda; sisters, Leona DePiazza, and Marie Drazil; six children; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee E. Rowe; mother, Della Youch; and sisters, Thelma and Wanda Needham.
A celebration of life is planned for Aug. 17. Memorial contributions can be made in Jerry's name to Partners in Care Hospice of Madras, 2075 NE Wyatt Court, Bend,
