Margaret (Margie) Ann Moe
Margie passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, after a several month hospital stay. Her last days were spent with her daughters and her beloved dog Scooby.
Margie was born in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, to parents, Albert and Elizabeth Comers. She grew up there and started her working career as a switch board operator at large companies, Pepsi Cola and Vaseline Works.
Her sister married and moved to Oregon, and in the early `60s Margie and her parents followed. She got a job at Main St. Garage in Madras where she met her future husband, Don Moe. They were married on May 5, 1962. They had two daughters, and enjoyed their lives in the same house for 56 years.
Margie was the backbone of the family. She kept our dad in line (which was no small task). She kept the books for all his ventures: farming, cattle, construction etc. She was very proud of the years she spent working in the nursing home and considered all her patients family.
Margie loved her family and was a wonderful daughter, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nothing made her happier than for any of us to show up for a visit. She loved us to bring her treats and just sit and visit. She talked to her daughters daily on the phone and kept up with their daily lives.
Margie is survived by her daughters, Cindy Fisher (Zack), and Vickie Rowan (Donnie); grandchildren, Brian (Karina), Alex (Christina), Stephanie (Tyler); four greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Moe; sister, Allene Silva; niece, Kim Hawkins; and stepson, Terry Moe.
No services will be held. Thank you everyone for all the cards, messages and kind words.
