Pama Lynne Jackson Widolff
Pama Lynne Jackson was born March 4, 1956, in Joplin, Missouri, to Bob and Kholeen Jackson. Pam's early years were spent in Osawatomie and Ottawa, Kansas and GI City, Missouri. She was a tiny bundle of love and joy. Pam and her older brother, Roy, were best friends from day one. Sisters Lana and Gina came along eight and 12 years later.
Pam was an amazing big sister and surrogate mother to her sisters and a partner in crime with her brother. A dedicated daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and stepmom - Pam always made time to attend family events: holidays, birthdays, graduations, births, vacations, camp trips and just for fun.
Always the optimist, Pam was married three times - she had a big, open heart with room for everyone. Love without condition, advice without judgement, positive and optimistic regardless of the situation. Pam helped you believe anything is possible and that everything would work out. Pam was a gentle and fun loving soul with a little bit of spice. She loved music and dancing and enjoyed them as often as possible. She was a busy teenager and young woman; a roller skating server at Sonic, dance team and band member in high school in Pittsburg, Kansas, where the band marched and played in Washington D.C. She attended college at Pittsburg State. Cruising the "gut" in her VW bug with friends was a favorite pasttime as well as swimming in strip pits in the summer.
Pam and her first husband, Tim, moved to Oregon to join her family in 1978. Pam worked as an ECE teacher in Warm Springs. She loved working with the children and made a positive difference in all those lives she touched.
Pam and Tim divorced and Pam moved to Tri Cities where she met her second husband, Rick Kenshol. They owned an air conditioning supply business in Mexico where they lived in Rocky Point. Pam excelled in the operations and labor management department. She hosted many family and friends at their beach house and was an excellent tour guide and interpreter. Pam welcomed everyone with open arms and a smile.
Pam moved back to Oregon around 1996, after her divorce from Rick, and managed a family business in Troutdale, Oregon, for several years. She met her current husband, Tom Widolff, during this time and they were married in August 1999. Pam and Tom had a good life - camping, vacations to Mexico, gardening, road trips to see family and hanging out on the patio. Pam loved her dog, Gucci - they were constant companions.
Pam passed away April 26, 2021, and is survived by her husband, Tom Widolff ; brother, Roy (Tena) Jackson; sister, Lana (Derrick) Mauritson; stepchildren, Matt, Eric and Andrea; and their children and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Kholeen Jackson; and sister, Gina Jackson Hernandez.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
