George met Diane in the little town of Willamette. After camping at our local KOA, they fell in love with this countryside and moved to Culver, almost twenty years ago.
He loved driving along the canals while Di picked up rocks for their garden wall. He also loved visiting in the local "watering holes" - many remembering well his smiling eyes and friendly voice like a rambling road.
As a member of the Elks Lodge in both Madras and Oregon City, he was well thought of.
George is survived by his loving wife, Diane; stepchildren, Jody Ray and Colette Kim Lamoreaux; grandson, Buddy Allan, all of Metolius; sons, James Holland of Kansas, and Jeffrey Holland of Switzerland; daughters, Elaine Doty of Canby, Julie Cumiford of Wilsonville; sister, Joyce Holland; and many grandchildren.
George had a life well lived and was a man well loved. We will miss him.
A gathering may be held at a later date.
