Beverly Jean Buswell
Beverly Buswell passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of March 17, 2019, at the age of 81.
Beverly Jean Cox was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 13, 1937, to Stanley and Gretchen Cox. She lived in Southern California with her parents and older brother, Ed "Eddie," where her parents had a construction company and raised horses.
They moved to Sandy in 1953, where she attended Sandy High School. Her parents built the first drive-in in Sandy, Stanley's Drive-in, where they sold 18-cent hamburgers. They raised cattle to supply the meat for the restaurant.
Sandy High School is where Bev met Guy "Buz" Buswell in 1953. They married the year they graduated from high school in October of 1955. In 1957, they bought their property on Kelso Road in Boring and have resided in the same home since then, where they raised their four children, Dianne, Wade, Rayth and Danise.
Beverly was a woman that was very private, selfless and loving. Bev's family came first, and she made sure her husband, Guy, and her children were taken care of. She never missed an event that her husband or children competed in and was always supportive in their endeavors.
She leaves behind three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren; her husband, Guy, who resides at the family home in Boring; and children, Dianna and Merle, of Sandy, Wade and Tina, of Prineville, and their daughters, Paige, of Prineville, and Brooke, of Weatherford, Texas, Rayth, of Culver, and his daughter, Jodi, of Marquette, Michigan, with her husband, Tristan, and four children, Jahselyn, Lucy, Ember and Jedidiah, and Danise, of Sandy. There were many other kids over the years who referred to her as Mom or Grandma.
Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Ed "Eddie" Cox.
With respect to Beverly's wishes, there will be a private immediate family only service at her gravesite.
