Christine was born on November 30, 1960 in Downey, California. She joined heavens angels on June 17, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Christine was the longtime Publisher and Advertising Director for Pamplin Media Group. In the communities her newspapers served, Christine was known for both her leadership and volunteerism. She served on the boards of the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce, as well as President of the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association.
Christine had two loves — her family and the newspaper business! She loved her family fiercely, and journalism ran in her blood from a very young age. She led from the front, leaned into her work, and always prioritized people's needs before her own. Christine was passionate and dedicated in all that she did, and she loved the communities that she served. Her greatest love was her grandchildren. Those who knew Christine, likely have heard story after story about her grandkids. She was extremely proud of her family.
Christine is survived by her beloved husband, John Barry Moore; her children, Katie Farber (Trey) and Daniel Petersen-Moore; and her sisters Marla King (Dan), Mary Orr (Dale), and Patti Skurski. She is also survived by her grandchildren, her crown jewels, Natalie, Chase, Teo, Ty, Rylee, and Harper.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Chehalem Cultural Center located at 415 E. Sheridan Street in Newberg. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Christine's memory to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance at www.ocrahope.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/
