Mariruth Hanna was born June 27, 1935 to Rudolph and Esther Olson in Portland, Ore. She lived the majority of her life in Sherwood, Ore. and was a lifelong member of Sherwood Friends Church. She was the longest active member of the Sherwood Friends Church as she began attending at age two weeks.
She graduated from Sherwood High School, as did her children, some of grandchildren and now she has great grandchildren attending Sherwood schools. She worked at Meier & Franks, Boyd's 88 cent store, First Interstate Bank, Java Jive, Especially Yogurt and Attrell's Funeral Homes. She was also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She married James Munsterman on August 20, 1955. They had two sons, Paul and Steven. They later divorced and James predeceased her in 1992. She married Jerome Hanna on December 16, 1969 and they later divorced.
Mariruth had four grandchildren which she doted upon, Erin, Megan, Patrick and Molly. She had 6 great- grandchildren - Casey, Ellie, Daisy, Aidan, Elijah and Ulrich.
She enjoyed travelling, having visited many countries including Russia, Germany, England, Norway, and taking many cruises with friends and family. She loved visiting with friends and family, eating out, and church potlucks and socializing at church. She was preceded in death by her parents. At her request no service was held and she will be interred with her parents at Crescent Grove Cemetery in Tigard, Ore.
