DELBERT RAY TEALService for Delbert Ray Teal was at Skyline Memorial Garden Funeral Home on April 25, 2020, at 3 p.m. Delbert passed away on April 16, 2020.

Delbert was born November 16, 1933, in Johnstown, Colorado. His parents were Thomas Edward and Anna Marie Teal.

He graduated from Jefferson High School in June 1951.

Delbert was in the National Guard from 1952 to 1961 as Staff Sergeant of Company B, 241st Transportation Battalion. Delbert got a Rifle Expert Badge in 1958.

Delbert married the love of his life, Judith Carol Howes on September 25, 1956, at Patton-Central Methodist Church. They were married for 52 years before Judy's passing on April 2, 2009.

They had three children: John, Susan and Thomas. The family moved to Scappoose, Oregon in March of 1968 to their log cabin in the woods.

Delbert loved to be on his tractor. He also loved to fish, clam digging and camping with his family at their beach lot in Long Beach, Washington called "Grandma's Sandbox."

Delbert worked for Crown Zellerbach for 34 years until he retired in 1986 as Head of the Coating Department. After his retirement they still needed his knowledge, so he returned and consulted for a few years more.

Delbert will be greeted in heaven by his wife, Judy; dad, Thomas; mom, Anna; brother, Frank; brother, George; sister, Doris and her husband, Ralph; and nephew's, Russell; and great-nephew, Coley.

Delbert is survived by his three children: son, John and his companion, Kelly; daughter, Susan and her husband, Rick; and Thomas and his wife, Michelle. Delbert had five grandchildren: Jennifer and her husband, Jason; Justin; Samantha; Anna and her husband, Chris; and Nick. Delbert had five great-grandchildren: Benjamin; Audrey; Brooklyn; Joey; and Mila.
