Terry Lee Douglas passed away suddenly May 27, 2021, at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon.
Terry was born March 25, 1950, in Pocatello, Idaho to George and Fay Douglas. He graduated from Butte County High School in 1968.
He joined the United States Navy on November 27, 1968. He served in the Navy until August 28, 1972. He was awarded two bronze stars after serving two tours in Vietnam.
After his discharge in 1972, he started a trucking business with his brother. He owned and operated Douglas Trucking for over 45 years and worked in the trucking industry until the time of his passing. He married Marianne Martinez and they had two children together. They were later divorced.
In 1998, he married his high school sweetheart Joan Davis. They made their home in Scappoose, Oregon.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Douglas; his sister, Gay Wheeler; his three children, Robert Douglas, Terrie-Ann James, Tina Hayes; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his brother, Robert Douglas; and his two sisters, Kay Harris and George Fay Combe.
Terry loved fishing, especially fly fishing. He loved to hunt and camp.
A private family memorial will be arranged at a later date.
