George Richard Koeber
George Richard Koeber was born in Hillsboro, Oregon to Mary Helen Koeber and Ivan Niles Koeber.
George graduated from Beaverton High School Class of 1959 and went on to attend 2 years of college at Portland State University. George Married Jacquelyn (Jaci) Pearl Myers in 1960. Upon seeing a job posted on the job board at PSU, George started working in the carpet industry for Dinihanian & Son's. Through this job, George gained his passion for the flooring industry and together he and Jaci started their own company Koeber's Carpets & Draperies now known as Koeber's Interiors. One of the biggest prides in George's life was him handing the reigns down to his 3 children and watching his children grow the business and seeing the 3rd generation of family entering & working into the business.
George was an avid golfer and a member of the Stafford Golf Club. He had a love for Austin Healey's and was a member of the Austin Healey Club of Oregon for over 25 years. He was passionate about traveling the country with Jaci in their RV and enjoyed many hunting and fishing excursions with his family and friends along the way.
George is survived by his wife of 59 years Jaci Koeber; daughter, Jill Kelly (Chris); son, Jerry Koeber (Jeannine); and daughter, Jaann Hoisington. He had 8 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson. Also 2 brothers, Bob and Ted Koeber; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his son Jeff Allen Koeber.
