Dennis (Denny) William Anderson
Dennis (Denny) William Anderson, 74, passed away peacefully in Tualatin, Oregon, surrounded by his family.
Denny was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, the fourth of nine children. At age seven, he moved to Niagara Falls, NY, and then to Southern California at age seventeen, where he became a truck driver.
In 1977, he, wife Karen, and daughter Shelley moved to Portland, Oregon. He became involved with the Sherwood Elks Lodge, where he worked hard and was eventually elected Exalted Ruler. He was very proud to be part of the Elks and enjoyed contributing to their charity work. In 2005, after forty-one years, he retired from Yellow Freight (Teamsters Local 81) at age fifty-nine. He loved family first and foremost, as well as hunting, fishing, golf, and western movies.
Denny was predeceased by father Earl; mother, June; brothers Tim and Rick; and nephew Johnny. He is survived by wife Karen; daughters Shelley and Kathy; granddaughter Brianna; great-grandsons William and Ethan; great- granddaughter Jemma; brothers Bob and Paul (Cindy); sisters Janet, Sharon (Dennis), Patty, and Marty (Gerald); and several nieces and nephews.
Denny was a loving, giving, kind-hearted man whose unique laughter could be picked out of any crowd. He will be loved and remembered forever and always. He is greatly missed.
