John Joseph Tyner III
John passed away at 65 at home in Aloha, Oregon, after staring down cancer until the end. He will be greatly missed.
Born in Portland, Oregon, the first of eight children, to John & Martha Tyner, John was a graduate of Beaverton High School in 1972, Willamette University in 1977 & Gonzaga University School of Law in 1982. He married Donna in 1984 and has two sons Michael and Thomas. As his father had, John pursued a career in the law, in private practice for 37 years.
John was devoted to family and active in the community. John was outgoing and social, often hosting family and friends at his home. He encouraged the pursuits of his children, supporting their interests in academics and sports. John coached a generation of young athletes in Aloha in soccer, football, baseball, and wrestling. He was also active in politics and a member of numerous professional associations. He was a strong supporter of the Washington County Public Affairs Forum and the Influence Music Hall.
In his spare time, John enjoyed playing the guitar, exercising to stay fit, reading voraciously, and actively following current events.
Survived by wife: Donna; children: Michael and Thomas; mother: Martha; siblings: Paul, Mary, Joseph, Edward, Stephen, Richard & Robert. Pllace of interment: TBD.
