Hazel Addie Boyles
Hazel Addie Boyles, age 96, died in Allyn, Washington on Saturday, June 6, 2020 just two days before her 97th birthday. She was born on June 8, 1923 in Yakima, Washington, grew up in Raymond and Vernonia, then moved to Portland, Oregon after graduating from high
She attended Hunter College in New York and worked at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. After marrying Guy Myers in 1949, she and her husband lived in northern California where they raised their only daughter, Candy Noll. Hazel was remarried in 1971 to George Boyles and they lived in eastern Oregon. After George died, she moved into the mobile home that her mother had previously lived in for many years, located in the Mobile Home Corral & RV Park in Beaverton, Oregon.
She was an independent woman, with a kind and gentle spirit. She lived on her own for the past three decades, up to the age of 96, surrounded by the many friends she had made in the mobile home park. She enjoyed going to the casino, and always seemed to come home with winnings from the nickel slot machines. She spent the last year of her life in her daughter's home, with frequent visits by her three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
As she loved the ocean, her ashes will be spread at the beach in Tokeland, Washington on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Please contact Candy Noll at (360) 710-7690 for more information.
