Kara E. McWilliams Amspoker, 40, a resident of the Tualatin community, died Saturday morning, August 8, 2020. Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove.

Kara was born January 5, 1980 in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of Robert L. McWilliams Jr. and Patricia A. (Beehler) McWilliams. She was raised and received her education in Portland, attending St. Therese Catholic Grade School, Central Catholic High School and then Sherwood High School, graduating with the Class of 1998.

She worked for Benchcraft Sports Marketing Company in Tigard for many years. Kara coached C.Y.O. Volleyball for St. Francis Catholic School for several years. Among her special interests, Kara enjoyed volleyball, outdoor activities and spending time with her children.

Survivors include her parents, Bob and Pattie McWilliams, of Forest Grove, Oregon; her son, Cody Helbig, of Tualatin, Oregon; her daughter, Addison Amspoker, of Tualatin, Oregon; her sister and brother-in-law, Caitlin and Chris Low, of Beaverton, Oregon and their son and her nephew MacLaren "Mac" and many aunts, uncles and cousins. We will miss her laughter and beautiful smile.

A celebration of Kara's life will be held at a later date when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
