October 9, 1931 to December 25, 2018
Longtime Wilsonville resident Cleason Wayne Unruh passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, 2018. Cleason was born on Oct. 9, 1931 to Alvin A. and Elda M. (Decker) Unruh in McPherson, Kansas.
He worked in the oil fields before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War (1951 to 1955). He would later marry his wife Billie D. (Jarnagin) and move to Southern California. After several years they would then move to Oregon enjoying many years with family and friends.
He was a quiet and faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church.
A memorial service is to be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 11 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Wilsonville, Oregon. He will then be laid to rest with military honors next to his wife, Billie, who proceeded him in death (July 5, 1985), at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
He is survived by his daughter Lisa and her husband Brian; grandchildren David and Kelsey; sister Ann Minear and sister-in-law Georgia Unruh, both living in Kansas
