Leslie C. Kleve
Leslie C. Kleve passed away October 19, 2017 in Woodburn. He was born January 13, 1921 in Molalla, the son of Emil and Ethel Kleve and the second of ten children. He moved to Canby in 1936 and lived there until entering the Army in 1942. He served in Iran until 1945 where he was a railroad dispatcher moving supplies to Russia.
He married Verna Keil on July 19, 1945, and they lived near Aurora for all of their 62 years together until her death in 2008. He loved fishing and traveling, and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He is survived by his son Tom Kleve (Pauline), daughter Linda Dryden (Joe), grandchildren Travis Kleve, Jami Davids and Jon Dryden, great-grandchildren Westen Kleve, Joshua and Audrey Davids, and Mack and Trent Dryden, and sisters Frances Slossar and Annette Hunter.
