May 17, 1926 to September 5, 2018: Known as Charley to most and Papa to his four grandchildren, he loved golf, woodworking, gardening but mostly spending time with his family.

Keith (Charley) Moore passed away September 5, 2018 at the age of 92 after a brief bout of pneumonia. Born May 17, 1926 in Adams, Nebraska, his family moved to Hubbard, Oregon when he was sixteen. He graduated from Hubbard High School in 1944 and joined the Navy soon after as a Motor Machinist's Mate Third Class. He was discharged in 1946. He then attended Oregon Technical Institute in Klamath Falls for a nine-month automobile mechanics course.

He met his wife, Doris (Shrock), in Hubbard and they were married on June 1, 1952. They lived in Salem until 1959 when they settled and raised their family in Woodburn where Charley worked as an automobile mechanic in shops in Woodburn, Silverton and Hubbard until he retired in 1988.

A gentle and kind man, best known as Charley to most and Papa to his four grandchildren, he loved golf, woodworking, gardening but mostly spending time with his family.

Charley is survived by his daughter Carey Alves and her husband Don, his son Dan and his fiancee Diane Clarke, his son Jeffrey and his wife Carrie, his daughter Julia and his grandchildren Sarah, Kelsie, Thomas and Anna. Doris preceded him in death in 2009.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodburn, 950 Boones Ferry Road, Woodburn, at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 14.

In lieu of flowers, the family request monetary donations be made to the church (mailing address: PO Box 333, Woodburn, OR. 97071).
