March 5, 1930 - February 25, 2019 - Marjorie was born in Wallace, ID to Ray and Margaret Day. Her mother died when she was young, and she and her brother Darrell were adopted and raised by her grandparents Charles Edwin and Winifred Day.

She graduated from Post Falls High School in 1947 and moved to Florence, OR where she met and married Donald R Phillips October 8th, 1948. They moved to Eugene, OR and finally settled in Portland, OR in 1964. They later divorced in 1974.

In 1983 she reunited with her high school classmate T Jay Thompson who graduated with her in 1947. They were married December 8th, 1984 and she relocated to Petaluma, CA. In 1987 they relocated and settled at The Senior Estates in Woodburn, Or. She was President of the Senior Estates Golf and CC in 1999 and was 18-hole women's club champion several times.

Marjorie is survived by her only son Mark Phillips (Deborah) Corona, CA, three grandchildren Nicholas (Corrin), Zachary, and Erin Valadez (Fernando), and two great-grandchildren Madison and Tyler.

Her family would like to extend their appreciation to all the friends that helped her through her last few years and a special thanks to the staff at Willamette Valley Hospice for their concerned and compassionate care in her final hours. Her final request was to be able to pass in her home and they made that possible for her. A private service was held and she requested her body be donated for science research.
