Joyce Eileen Cramer was born on July 10, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents Marion and Helen Helton. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2008.
Her family moved to the Oregon coast where she attended Newport High in 1948 and 1949. They then moved to Juneau, Alaska where she graduated from High School in 1950. After graduation she began working as a shipto- shore radio operator. While there, she met the love of her life, John Cramer. They were married on July 15, 1951 in Juneau.
As a military family, they began traveling and were stationed next in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, where their sons Patrick and Michael were born. From there, they moved overseas to Paris, France, where their next son, John III, was born. They then moved to Presidio in San Francisco, California, where son James and daughter Mary were born. In 1960, they made their final move to Molalla, Oregon, where sons Rory and Richard and daughter Rebecca were born. John and Joyce lived on a small farm on Sawtell Road, where they spent the next 40+ years raising their children surrounded by many wonderful neighbors.
Joyce is survived by children: Pat and wife Debbie, Mike and wife Marsha, John and wife Debbie, Jim and wife Donelle, Mary and husband Bob, Rory and wife Rayleen, Richard and wife Beth, and Becky and husband Ed, as well as 14 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. While Mom/Grandma/Dear Friend will be greatly missed by many, she is at peace and home with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the staff at Molalla Manor Care Center for their outstanding care and compassion for Mom during her time spent there.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for the creation of a garden in Joyce's memory at Molalla Manor.
Services will announced at a later date.
