Bonnie V. Wyland
Bonnie passed away on May 25th after several years of declining health. She was one of those rare angels on earth that touched many people's lives. She had a heart of gold and loved her family and friends dearly. Bonnie was born in Utica, Nebraska and was one of 6 children. She moved to California in the 30's with her mother and siblings. She worked at Douglas Aircraft as a Rosie the Riveter during WWII. There she met and married the love of her life, Elmer Wyland. They moved to his family's homestead in Molalla, Oregon in 1947. She lived in the Molalla area the rest of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer and all of her siblings. She is survived by her children, George Wyland, Elizabeth Miller-Winn and son in law Curtis Winn. Her grandchildren Michael & Joshua (Katie) and 4 great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing at Molalla Funeral Chapel on June 6th & 7th, 10-4 both days, so that friends and family can say their goodbyes. She will be laid to rest in a private family service. A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date once restrictions are further lifted from Covid-19.
She was very active member of Molalla Christian Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Molalla Christian Church Food Ministry. It was a ministry that was near and dear to her heart. She could frequently be found there preparing food and serving others.
